About this sign

A portrait sign stating that this is private property and that absolutely no construction parking is allowed. It is a firm notice for owners whose land is used as overflow by nearby works.

Fix it at the entrance to the private land or on the boundary facing the road, at driver height. Add copies at any other gap that vehicles could use.

Which regulation requires it

CDM 2015 and the Signs and Signals Regulations. The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 place duties on the principal contractor for site security, access control and welfare, and Schedule 2 covers site conditions. Safety signage on site is also governed by the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996.

General guidance, not legal advice. Whether a given sign is required at your premises depends on your own risk assessment.
