Signs for private car parks

On private land, signs are how you tell drivers who may park, where they may park and on what terms. Put your main terms at every entrance, where drivers will see them before they park, and repeat them around the car park so that no space is far from a sign. If a parking operator manages charges for you, check their signage requirements before ordering, as the wording on the sign forms part of the terms drivers accept.

The signs most car parks need

• No parking signs for entrances, fire exits, loading bays and areas that must be kept clear.
• Reserved and visitor parking signs for allocated spaces.
• Disabled parking signs for accessible bays close to the entrance.
• Directional signs such as car park arrows, overflow car park and exit.
• CCTV signs wherever cameras cover the car park.

Size and placement

Choose a size drivers can read from their seat as they approach. A4 signs suit walls at eye level beside bays, while larger landscape signs suit entrances and barriers. Our signs are printed on self adhesive vinyl and are best applied to a clean, smooth backing such as a wall, door or board.
